DroneCover offers coverage for Australian based Commercial drone operators. We cover ReOC holders and Excluded Category operators.

If you don’t have your RePL but operate under the excluded category, we can provide cover for Liabilities only. We do not cover hobby drones/operations. More information on RePLs can be found here

1. Hull insurance covers your drone for accidental damage (including by fire, flood, theft or during flight).
2. Liability insurance covers you (the drone operator) for third party property damage and/or bodily injury caused due to your operation or ownership of the drone(s).
We offer two main types of coverage : Hull and Liability or Liability Only coverage.
*no Hull coverage is offered for Operators under the Excluded Category.

This policy can provide cover for overseas operations subject that you declare this in the application process. Please note that we cannot provide coverage within the following countries and regions:
  • Algeria, Burundi, Far North Region of Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Somalia, The Republic of Sudan, South Sudan.
  • Colombia, Peru.
  • Afghanistan, Jammu & Kashmir, North Korea, Pakistan.
  • Abkhazia, Donetsk & Lugansk regions of Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh, North Caucasian Federal District, South Ossetia.
  • Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, North Sinai Province of Egypt (including Taba International Airport), Syria, Yemen.

DroneCover only offers a 12 month annual policy at this time.

Yes you can. The policy can be cancelled at any time online once you have logged in to your policy. Insurer’s will return a portion of the policy premium as per the short term cancellation rate. Full details of the cancellation rate can be found here

Immediate notice must be given to your Insurer in the event of an incident that could lead to a lodgement of a claim. All claim lodgements can be completed online once you have logged in to your policy.

This policy covers the transit of your drones in certain circumstances. Please refer to the Policy Wording under Section 1 paragraph (d). For overseas transit, please refer to the Policy Wording for further details.

DroneCover provides coverage for Commercial operators only.

The drone should be listed as the replacement value of the drone. For example, if your drone is lost/damaged and it has to be replaced, what would the replacement cost be?

We do not offer Afterpay.

Payment needs to be made in full and upfront before cover takes place.

Policy modifications or endorsements can be made by logging into your policy portal and selecting the 'Endorsement' tab.

Photographic/video equipment carried by the drone that is removable and/or interchangeable from the drone.

Equipment that is used in conjunction with your drone operation but never attaches to the drone whilst in flight. Full definition of Ground Equipment is available here

If you have a policy with us already, you can directly access and download your Certificate of Insurance by logging into your policy portal.

If you do not have a policy with us and you wish to sign up with us, you can have a policy in place within a few hours. Once the policy has been purchased, you have immediate access to your online account where you will have direct access to your Certificate of Insurance.
